Installing keys

Keys are typically stored in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on server account.

Simply concatenate public keys, one per line.
These keys will be granted access sans password.
Special conditions can be placed on a key-by-key basis by placing keywords before key data.

SSHv1 and SSHv2 keys used to be separated into authorized_keys and authorized_keys2 files respectively.

    xahrbox$ cd ~/.ssh
    xahrbox$ ln authorized_keys authorized_keys2
