Username, e.g. 'bob'
Primary group, e.g. 'users'
Supplimentary groups (e.g. "web", "cgi")
Real name
Authentication information (/ec/shadow entry, etc)
Shell
Home directory 
Dotfiles (~/.profile, ~/.vimrc, ~/.mozilla)

$ grep ^bree: /etc/passwd
bree:x:1000:1000:Bree Urban:/home/bree:/usr/bin/ksh
